Facebook For Business - 4. Use Your Imagination

There are only so many posts that you can make about your products and services - before people start to lose interest in your Facebook page.

Try to mix in some interesting but relevant posts that your audience will appreciate.

For example - if you run a food shop or deli - you could post an exciting new recipe or a link to a good food blog. Then add a comment - helpfully pointing out that you have the ingredients in stock - with a link to the relevant page on your own website.

If you run a marketing business - maybe put together some useful hints and tips - sharing some of your expertise.

Case Study:

Tregenna Castle Estate run one of the biggest tourism and leisure operations in St Ives Cornwall. This encompasses hotel accommodation. self catering, restaurant, weddings, business conferences, fitness, beauty salon, an 18 hole golf course and more.

They regularly post news about their own upcoming events and some attractive photos of their beautiful grounds and views over St Ives Bay.

But over the last few weeks they've sourced a number of historic photos of their estate, St Ives and the surrounding area. They've been posting these on their Facebook page, intermingled with their other posts.

These have been well received and have undoubtedly helped them to expand their audience online. A smart and imaginative bit of marketing.
